ALGOFACT builds custom storefronts, B2B ordering portals and marketplace platforms, and integrates them with ERP, inventory, payment and shipping systems. For a standard retail store, a SaaS platform such as Shopify is usually the better choice, and we say so in the discovery call. Custom or headless builds make sense when you have account-specific pricing, configurable products, ordering against credit terms, or processes where the ERP has to stay the single source of truth.

## Key facts

- **Scope:** Storefronts, dealer portals, marketplaces
- **Integrations:** ERP, inventory, payments, shipping, invoicing
- **Architecture:** SaaS, headless or fully custom
- **Card data:** Kept off your servers through tokenization
- **Information security:** ISO 27001:2022
- **First decision:** Platform choice before any build

## SaaS platform, headless or custom?

A catalog, cart, checkout and shipment tracking for consumer retail is a solved problem. Shopify, BigCommerce and similar platforms get you there quickly and with predictable costs. In that case we will not sell you custom software; at most we connect the platform to your ERP.

Custom development earns its cost when your business rules do not fit a packaged platform: price lists and discounts that vary by account or dealer tier, configurable or made-to-order products, ordering against credit limits and open balances, fulfillment from several warehouses, a marketplace where third-party sellers list products, or an ERP that must remain the authority on stock and price.

Headless commerce sits in between. Proven components handle checkout, catalog or search, while the storefront and the business rules are built for you. We make the call together, based on catalog size, sales channels and how much your team is ready to operate.

## Typical projects

### B2B ordering portal

Dealers and wholesale customers see their own prices, open balance and stock before they order. Orders land in the ERP as sales orders, and shipment and invoice status flow back into the portal.

### Custom storefront

Consumer stores where the brand experience or product configuration cannot be built with off-the-shelf themes, with content management, promotions and coupon rules.

### Marketplace platform

Multiple sellers list products, orders are split per seller, and commissions and payouts are calculated automatically.

### Multichannel stock and order sync

Product, stock and order data kept in sync between your own store and marketplaces such as Amazon or Trendyol from one place, so no channel oversells.

### Payments and recurring billing

Payment gateways, installments, refunds and recurring charges. The payment systems and membership dues collection system built for KAFFED and the digital payment infrastructure built for Jineps are examples of this work.

## How the project runs

### Platform decision

We review your products, channels, order flow and ERP setup, and compare SaaS, headless and custom options on cost and operating load.

### Data flow map

One diagram shows where product, price, stock, customer and order data originate and where they flow. Most conflicts get resolved on this page.

### Catalog and URL migration

Attributes, variants and images move into the new structure, and a redirect map from old to new URLs protects search rankings.

### Build and end-to-end tests

Order, payment, refund, cancellation and shipping scenarios are tested end to end against real integrations on staging.

### Staged launch

We open first to a limited group of customers or dealers, watch order and stock consistency, then move the full channel over.

## Inventory, payments and peak traffic

Wrong stock is the most expensive bug in commerce. We tie inventory to one source system, write reservation and sync rules explicitly and, when you sell on several channels, add locking that prevents overselling. Integrations run through message queues, so an order is not lost when a downstream system is briefly unavailable; it waits in line.

Card data never touches your application servers. Payment is captured through the provider’s hosted fields or tokens, which narrows your PCI DSS scope. Before campaign peaks we load test and run the application on infrastructure that scales with demand. Consent, cookies and marketing permissions are designed for GDPR, and for KVKK and Turkish e-commerce rules when you sell in Türkiye.

## Questions

### Can you connect our existing Shopify store to our ERP without replatforming?

Yes. Integration alone is often the first and fastest win: products, stock, prices and orders sync between the platform’s API and your ERP, and the store stays where it is.

### We sell in Türkiye. How is e-invoicing handled?

In Türkiye, e-Fatura and e-Arşiv invoices are issued through your ERP or an authorized e-invoice integrator. The commerce software sends order data at the right moment and in the right format so invoices are created automatically. The data flow map settles which system issues them.

### Which payment and shipping providers can you integrate?

Any provider with a usable API, including payment gateways, local acquiring banks and carriers. The choice follows your existing contracts.

### Will we lose search rankings when we migrate?

Old product and category URLs are mapped to new ones, permanent redirects go live with the launch and the sitemap is updated. We watch Search Console errors in the weeks after the switch.

### What drives the timeline and cost?

The chosen architecture, how complex your product and variant structure is, how many systems need integrating and how good their APIs are, your B2B pricing rules and how much cleanup the catalog needs. Once the platform decision is made, we present a phased plan.
