ALGOFACT

Kocaeli, Türkiye

Secure software and AI for Kocaeli’s plants, industrial zones and ports.

ALGOFACT is a Turkish software and AI engineering company that builds production data platforms, camera-based inspection, system integrations and secure cloud infrastructure for automotive, chemical, metal and port operations in Kocaeli, including the local teams of multinational manufacturers. Every project starts with a 30-minute discovery call. Engineering is delivered from our offices in Adana and Ankara TEKMER under ISO/IEC 27001:2022; Kocaeli is a service area, and on-site work is planned per project.

Why Kocaeli projects are different

Kocaeli is small in area and very large in output. Figures compiled by the Kocaeli Chamber of Industry (KSO) put industry at 41.1 percent of the provincial economy. In 2025 the province accounted for 45 percent of Türkiye’s vehicle production, and it holds 27 percent of the country’s chemical industry and 19 percent of its metal industry. About 451 of the roughly 3,950 companies registered with the chamber are foreign-owned.

Exports follow the same pattern. Ministry of Trade data by company activity province ranks Kocaeli second in 2025 with USD 35.086 billion, and it recorded the largest increase of any province that year. The province has 14 organized industrial zones, many of them specialized, including the TOSB automotive supplier zone and dedicated chemical, machinery and plastics zones, plus 5 technology parks and 2 free zones. The Gulf of İzmit has 36 ports and piers, which handled 83.9 million tons of cargo in 2025.

In a setting like this, software is judged as much on security, continuity and auditability as on features. Many projects touch plant networks, process data or a corporate standard set by a headquarters abroad.

Security first when software meets the plant floor

We design around the boundary between operational technology and corporate IT. Data from PLCs, SCADA or historians is collected through a controlled intermediate layer, and write access to production systems is limited to explicitly defined and approved steps. Network and access rules are agreed with your IT and OT teams and documented.

Delivery runs under our ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified information security management system. Where data must not leave the site, applications and models run on your own servers or in a private cloud. Logging, access control and alerting are part of go-live, not an afterthought.

How we engage

After a 30-minute discovery call, our founder presents a scope, risks and delivery plan. Uncertain items are tested in a small proof of concept first. Engineering runs from Adana and Ankara TEKMER with online meetings, in English or Turkish. Site visits, camera placement or tests in a control room are planned per project and follow your site’s safety rules. Handover includes runbooks, and an embedded team can continue after the first release.

Kocaeli is also close to strong research institutions, including Kocaeli University, Gebze Technical University and TÜBİTAK MAM. For Turkish entities, MARKA programs, KOSGEB support and TÜBİTAK 1501 and 1507 may be relevant; eligibility is decided by each institution.

Questions from Kocaeli plants

Approach
01Is ALGOFACT located in Kocaeli?

No. Our engineering offices are in Adana (Çukurova) and Ankara TEKMER (Çankaya). Kocaeli is a service area: meetings run online and any on-site steps are planned during discovery.

02Our headquarters sets software and security standards. Can you work within them?

Yes. Architecture, security and documentation requirements from headquarters become part of the scope in discovery, and environments, repositories and access management are set up to those rules.

03How do you protect plant networks when collecting OT data?

Data is collected through a controlled intermediate layer, and write access to production systems is limited to approved steps. The rules are agreed and documented with your IT and OT teams.

04We run several plants in different industrial zones. Can one project cover them?

Yes. We usually start with a shared data model and one platform, use the first plant as the pilot and connect the others using what the pilot taught us.

05Can you contract with our Turkish subsidiary?

Yes. Contracting runs through Algofact Yazılım ve Teknoloji A.Ş. in Türkiye or Algofact Software and Technology Inc. in the US; the right entity is settled during scoping.
