ALGOFACT

Trabzon

Software for Trabzon’s traders, food processors and hospitality businesses.

ALGOFACT is a Turkish software and AI engineering company. In Trabzon, the trade and service center of Türkiye’s eastern Black Sea coast, we build grower and purchasing apps for hazelnut and tea, aquaculture data platforms, multilingual guest assistants and customs document workflows for cross-border trade. Engineering runs from our offices in Adana and Ankara TEKMER under ISO 27001:2022. A 30-minute discovery call comes first, and any on-site work is planned there.

A gateway city on the eastern Black Sea

The Eastern Black Sea Development Agency (DOKA) describes Trabzon as a regional center that draws people from neighboring provinces, with an agro-industry built on hazelnuts and tea, developed aquaculture and a strong dairy sector. Hazelnuts, fresh fruit and vegetables and seafood make up most of the province’s exports. A free zone, a seaport and an international airport, proximity to the Sarp border crossing with Georgia and a position on the historic Silk Road corridor complete the trade picture.

DOKA also points to a long-established medical faculty that serves the wider region, specialized hospitals and a city hospital under construction, and to destinations such as Uzungöl and Sümela Monastery that have made Trabzon a draw for visitors from the Middle East and Arab countries. When trade, food processing, tourism and healthcare sit side by side, software needs vary just as widely, from grower payments to Arabic-language booking support.

Technology zone, universities and industry

Trabzon Teknokent

The Trabzon Technology Development Zone was designated by Council of Ministers decision 2004/7127 of March 22, 2004, published in the Official Gazette on April 30, 2004, and runs its own technology transfer office.

Universities

DOKA counts three universities, two public and one private, one of them a technical university: Karadeniz Technical University (KTÜ). The agency lists the skilled workforce they supply among the province’s strengths.

Industry

Four organized industrial zones support employment, and the province’s small-industry estates host a well-developed automotive industry base. Construction and furniture are also major employers.

DOKA’s 2026 technical support and other funding

DOKA lists four 2026 technical support programs: lean transformation, tourism and blue economy programs open until October 31, 2026, and a program on branding and commercializing local products open until December 31, 2026. Technical support covers training and consulting rather than the software investment itself.

For the investment side, KOSGEB’s SME digital transformation program and TÜBİTAK’s 1501 and 1507 R&D programs are the common references. Each program’s guide decides eligibility. We do not promise funding; we write the technical scope and work packages so they can support an application.

Planning around the season

Many Trabzon businesses run on a calendar: the hazelnut and tea purchasing windows or the tourist season decide when a system has to be live. We build the plan around that date in the discovery call. A founder presents the scope and, where risk is high, a proof of concept; development then runs from our engineering offices in Adana and Ankara TEKMER.

Training staff at buying points or installing sensors at a facility is scheduled during discovery if it is needed. We go live with access control and monitoring and hand over runbooks your team can work from.

Questions about working with us from Trabzon

Approach
01Do you have staff or premises located in Trabzon?

No. Our engineering offices are in Adana (Çukurova) and Ankara TEKMER (Çankaya). Trabzon clients meet us online, and on-site steps are planned during discovery.

02Can you be the software subcontractor on our Trabzon Teknokent R&D project?

Yes, for software and AI work packages. The split of work, reporting and intellectual property are defined in the contract, while project ownership and the application stay with the teknokent company.

03Can the system be ready before the hazelnut purchasing season?

We plan backward from the season in discovery. If the full scope does not fit, we put the critical module, usually purchasing and payment records, live first and schedule the rest after the season.

04Will an Arabic-language assistant really help with visitors from Arab countries?

For frequent questions, booking status and facility information, yes. It answers only from your own content and hands over to a staff member when it is not confident.

05Our company trades through the Sarp crossing. Can you work in English with our foreign partners?

Yes. Specifications, partner-facing screens and project communication can run in English as well as Turkish.
